3 Enemies, 1 Champion

In Matthew 13:18-23, Jesus explains the parable of the sower.  Every time the word of God is taught, preached, or read, 3 enemies are waiting to devour the seed: The devil, our flesh, and the world.  We must pray for our churches when we gather for worship knowing that we are engaged in a spiritual battle.  Our hope and confidence is that Jesus Christ has defeated all 3 of these enemies.  Paul reminds us in Romans 8:38-39 that nothing will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
