Romans 8:28 says, "And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to His purpose (italics mine)."
God doesn't randomly call us. He doesn't call us and then say, "Figure this Christian life out for yourself." We're called according to His purpose. He has a plan for us. Every pain and trial is meant for our good. Nothing is wasted. Hallelujah!
