We were reading Ephesians 3 this morning as a family and the theme of stewarding God's grace jumped out at me.
Paul says in Eph 3:2, "assuming that you have heard of the stewardship of God's grace that was given to me for you." As Christians God wants us to steward the grace that he has given each one of us. The word stewardship carries the meaning of management, oversight, administration of another's property. It conotes a manager or overseer. It is amazing that God entrusts us to administer his grace to others.
Later in verse 8 Paul says that God's grace was given to him "to preach to the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ." We may not all be called to preach in a vocational capacity but stewarding God's grace should inevitably lead to making Christ known.
Later in Eph 4:29, Paul says that our speech should build up and give grace to those who hear.
We are God's grace dispensers to everyone we encounter.
