Those of you with kids in elementary school will be familiar with the books series, "The Magic School Bus." These books take readers on different educational adventures with their wacky teacher Ms. Frizzle.
I was reading one of these books to my kids on my day off describing the movement of electrons that result in electric current and it reminded me of something that has been a reoccurring prayer lately: That my life and my family might be used by God as a conduit for the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Here's the analogy: Electrons usually stay pretty close to an atom. But when there is a conduit, the electrons will run from atom to atom causing an electric current. The gospel is the power of God for salvation to all who will believe (Romans 1:16). So as ambassadors and witnesses, the bride of Christ, we are to be conduits for the gospel to run in the world.
Energize your church, O God, to make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to observe all that Jesus has commanded (Matthew 28:19-20).
